THE POWER OF MUSIC TO HUMAN DEVELOPMENT.
We are surrounded by music in our lives-at home,
school, church, mosque, temples, in different occasions either happy
celebrations or sad ones, music is unavoidable to bring calming feelings on
one’s life, however do you ever spend time listening, singing or searching for
certain music? discovering amazing music and listening to it non-stop is one of
rewarding feelings when you come across catchy song and you love it straightaway.
So instead of listening to a typical music played in the radio why don’t you do
a little research and perhaps you will discover your new and favorite songs or
band, try it out and you will know the power of music.no matter the age you
have try and take up this funny hobby.
In Norway when you get in the bus or you meet people
in the street where they are moving from one place to another when they are not
in groups or either so almost all of them are putting on headphones or earphone
probably listening to music, for the Norwegians music is more valuable and
important than how I see it. regardless of the different ages everyone is
interested in certain type of music whereas through asking many of them
responded that it gives them healing, triggers emotional response, it release opioids
to ease pain and it is powerful cheap things that activate their minds and even other went
beyond explaining the power of music on their lives by giving examples of how
they benefits from engaging themselves in activities concerning music where they
generate income that’s enough for sustaining their lives. And even when they
are in schools their parents support them if they are interested on music
either singing, playing instruments like guitar, piano, trumpets, drums,
dancing and all others music related activities.
Back to my home country Tanzania there is different
perceptions on music ,but the power of music is less notable and less seen by
society members since the rate of socialization is very high for that case then
it is not so easy to see the importance of music that much since one can use
that time to make stories or group talk wherever we are even in the bus
regardless of knowing people around or not, however this also makes it
difficult for one to engage in music since the family will give very little
support or no support at all since the output they expect from music is very
little too, hence the parents and society put emphasis more on other formal and
professional studies where the output expected is so high. For this case it
could be a wise decision if parents and society support youth or children who
are interested in the music to develop their carrier since they will be doing
it with patience and putting all of their efforts on it to produce something profitable for
themselves and for the society at large rather than forcing them to study the
carrier they don’t want ending up to failure or school drop outs.
All in all. Music
itself is healing, American musician Billy Joel once said “It’s an explosive
expression of humanity, it’s something we are all touched by. No matter what
culture we`re from, everyone loves music.” For that case then, regular musical
leisure activities can have long term cognitive emotional and social benefits
it basically leads to human development. Try it now, choose the best kind of
music that costumes you. Before thinking about country’s development consider
your development by doing what makes you feel best without destroying someone’s
rights or going against society regulations that are positive
